Figurative Sculpture in Stone  ~  for beginners and beyond

Carole is known for her voluptuous figurative sculptures in bronze and stone. 
She will demonstrate her process from gesture in clay, to stone.  
(You are welcome to create non-figurative sculpture instead, of course)

For all levels, including absolute beginners.
You will be able to complete your sculpture in Mexican limestone.  Really, even if you have never carved before, you can do it
--- with as much personal instruction as you need.  

With step by step demonstrations and hands-on instruction, you will proceed with confidence.

Medium sized limestone blocks  and carving tools are provided.  And domestic and imported stone is available for purchase,  including a wide variety of Italian marble and Mexican limestone. 

There will be studio visits and art presentations and Wednesday night art walk to galleries.
 
 And we are always moments from the beach.  You will return home thoroughly inspired!

We will work in the morning and the afternoon with a break for a buffet lunch.  Evenings are open to enjoy dinner in local restaurants or barbeque on the rooftop.

   For more experienced sculptors, the studio is fully set up with air hoses and compressors. 

One week workshop:  $950 USD includes lodging at Casa Alexandra Guest Villa & Breakfast & Lunch

 **  I will be making silicone molds before and after class during these sessions and will demonstrate the easy, low-cost method
 I use.  You will see the whole process; however, as this is a bonus activity, you will not be making your own molds.
